Job Description

The role of a business insights Associate Consultant is to assist our clients in building the right strategy to improve brand equity and market share via several dimensions. Candidates will learn and develop several skills to improve their evidence-based thinking and understand how twenty first century global corporations are leveraging data from customers to improve business performance. The role involves a learning agenda as well as instant application of concepts learned.

Candidates applying for this position will have an excellent opportunity to use their quantitative and problem-solving skills to identify key steps to improve the business performance of our clients’ products. The position is ideal for those who have a flair for identifying trends and patterns in a vast array of data and crystallize such information into actionable steps.

Associate Consultant – Business Insights will:

  • Learn how to interpret data and draw conclusions in a business context from team leaders who have advanced degrees in business administration.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members.
  • Understand how data on customer perceptions regarding our clients’ products are used to improve market performance.
  • Develop an appreciation of key marketing concepts such as strategic segmentation and how to implement those solutions in different client projects.
  • Gather insights on the effectiveness of current messaging and develop an optimal messaging strategy.
  • Contribute to new product development efforts by identifying the optimal product profile given key technical and regulatory constraints.
  • Learn and use our innovative approaches to predict new product demand and assess impact on the market due to self, and competitive product introductions.
  • Identify key drivers and barriers for new product adoption.
  • Isolate triggers to convert non-users to users and develop tactical action items for increased adoption.
  • Assess the effectiveness of current marketing campaigns and estimate the return on investments of ongoing direct-to-consumer TV and magazine advertisements.
  • Develop a roadmap of patient journey from diagnosis to treatment to adherence to pharmacologic therapy from unprecedented volume of data generated by the health care industry.
  • Understand price elasticity of demand among patients for different therapeutic options and develop a pricing strategy for our client company products.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously coordinating with internal and external vendors, establishing clear communication amongst stakeholders
  • Fast learner, with an ability to grasp various analytical concepts / techniques and use them to generate actionable business insights for the clients.

Candidate Profile

  • An undergrad or master’s degree in quantitative/Analytical field (Such as Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, Economics, etc.) from a reputed institution
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English
  • Passion for problem solving through data analysis and consulting.
  • Position is highly suitable for those who have a flair for consulting and those who have an interest in pursuing business education in the future.
  • Must possess leadership and organizational development skills with the flair for working in a team environment as the role involves interacting with team members in different departments.
  • Good work ethics and attention to detail
  • Ability to consolidate, summarize and communicate strategic thinking.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint to communicate results.
  • Understanding of pharma and biotech industry is an added advantage.
  • Experience of people management (at least 1-2 people) is an added advantage.
