HabitRx™

HabitRx™ is a behavioral economics framework designed to elevate understanding of how healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients make decisions and form treatment habits. While the industry has understood the importance of behavioral economics principles in physician and patient decisions, the attempts to address this factor have largely remained qualitative and restricted to identifying biases. Brand teams need a more rigorous quantitative approach for implementation. SRI’s HabitRx fills this gap by distinguishing between conscious and sub-conscious behaviors and shows how cues and rewards create habit loops in prescribing, dosing, and treatment decisions. The HabitRx method diagnoses, quantifies, and profiles key habits by combining qualitative and quantitative research, workshops, and claims data analysis. It identifies triggers, rewards, and decision contexts, providing actionable recommendations for reinforcing or changing HCP and patient habits.

Recent engagements include refining targeting and messaging strategies, improving treatment adherence in chronic conditions, and uncovering diagnostic gaps in rare diseases. Ultimately, HabitRx helps brands understand, measure, and influence habit-driven behaviors to inform strategy and improve patient outcomes.
